Panther Burning Moon Bright

Panther burning moon bright
Your sleek flanks blending
In the sacred shadows of the night
Unseen to all
But the Goddess chosen few

Panther burning moon bright
I still hear your deep purrs
Resonating
In the depths of my silences

Panther burning moon bright
My hands remember
The velvety softness of your proud head
As you bend to quench your thirst
In the sacred waters of my essence

Panther burning moon bright
The sands of time will never erase
The glowing tracks that you’ve left behind
On the moonpaths of my soul

Panther burning moon bright
Magnificient avatar that you are
Roam safely
In the sacred shadows of the night
May I one day again be amongst
The Goddess chosen few

Xena: Warrior Princess

No mere wallflower is she
A fresco of absolute womanly glory
Who needs no man’s asylum
No dowry she totes except her sword
Which can slice through haggis with ease
Her ice blue eyes make many hearts swoon
Her charisma blazes kinetic images
On the tundras of many souls
Her smile can even freeze a gnomon
Her every movement and action a poetry of rhythm
Her dialogue so so 90ish for her time period
Who is she, you keenly ask
Why, my dear reader, don’t you watch…
Xena, Warrior Princess?

Angel – Sarah Mclachlan

Lyrics:
Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There’s always one reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Oh beautiful release
Memory seeps from my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
And the storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building the lie
That you make up for all that you lack
It don’t make no difference
Escaping one last time
It’s easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
This glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

Pretty Purple Note

This morning
I found a pretty purple note
Tucked inside the pocket
Of my leather jacket
My eyebrow lifted in a puzzled quirk
I pulled out the pretty purple note
Curious to ferret out its secrets
The lingering scent on papery surface
Tracks ticklish footprints across my nose
I unfolded the pretty purple note
With nary a quake of my hand
The corners of my mouth twitch into a smile
As subtle images pertaining
To a night of naked shared passion flash by
Our kisses shy at first then tenacious
Our soft whispers morphed into raucous moans
Heralding the quakes of shared orgasmic release
I read the handwriting
On the pretty purple note
All shreds of doubt eliminated
“Can I see you again?
Love, Your Kitten”
Collar of my leather jacket
Pulled up against the wind
Ribbons of sunlight
Reflecting off silver jacket buttons
I tuck the pretty purple note
Inside next to my heart
I’d already decided
I’ll see her again…
