Splash And Bounce

Honey blonde body
Prances in circles around me
Dancing the language
Lets play splash and bounce!

Chocolate eyes
Never leaving mine
Fervent their plea
Lets play splash and bounce!

Front lowers
Chest brushes ground
Muscles coiled and ready
Lets play splash and bounce!

Back legs stand
Quivering in anticipation
Await with patience
Lets play splash and bounce!

Breath quickens
Lips licked with long pink tongue
The suspense mounts
Lets play splash and bounce!

My arm arcs
Letting the wood stick fly
Tumble and turn in the air
Yea! Lets play splash and bounce!

Blurred explosion
Mirror lake surface shattered
Yellow laborador in motion
Splash bounce splash bounce!

Unerringly locate stick
Grab in strong jaws
Tail wagging triumphantly
Splash Bounce splash bounce!

Return to land
Drop stick at my feet
Dripping wet, boisterous barking
Lets play splash and bounce again!

Posted in loving memory of Reed
There wasn’t a yellow laborador who
loved to play splash and bounce
as much as she did.
